A COMPANY CONSULTING & LICENSING AG was founded by Alexander van Dülmen and five other shareholders in 2003. The Berlin based company, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is one of the leading independent film license trading companies in Central and Eastern Europe. Beside this core business, A COMPANY CONSULTING & LICENSING AG organizes one of the most significant media conferences — the European Television Dialogue.
The one-hundred-percent subsidiary EEAP Eastern European Acquisition Pool GmbH holds a licensing stock of around 350 films ("Million Dollar Baby", "Keinohrhasen", "Shutter Island", "Hurt Locker", among others). EEAP acquires licenses mostly from international producers or distribution companies. The films are commercialized via an exclusive distribution network to all Central and Eastern European countries as well as CIS states.

In Hungary, A COMPANY CONSULTING & LICENSING AG trades films via the venerable Budapest Film company, of which A COMPANY CONSULTING & LICENSING AG is a majority shareholder through its one-hundred-percent subsidiary A COMPANY HUNGARY.

Through A COMPANY FILMPRODUKTIONSGESELLSCHAFT, another one-hundred-percent subsidiary, A COMPANY CONSULTING & LICENSING AG takes a share as co-producer in film productions focusing especially on Central and Eastern Europe.
Since the year 2004, the European Television Dialogue deals with current questions regarding media policies and the TV industry. The media conference has taken place mostly at the Auswärtiges Amt in Berlin (Foreign Office) since 2007. The former Minister President and Federal Minister Reinhard Klimmt is Chairman of the European Television Dialogue. Moreover, Klimmt presided the SPD media commission for more than 20 years.
