EEAP and Barefoot Films continue successful partnership
EEAP continues its close collaboration wit Barefoot Films. The box office hit KEINOHRHASEN ("RABBIT WITHOUT EARS") which garnered US$ 66million worldwide until now, will go theatrical in Russia and Ukraine in August 2008. A screening at this week's cinema trade show in Sochi, Russia was a great success. "I didn't think the reactions would be so overwhelmingly positive. The film really works on all levels in any language." says Lise Middleton, Head of Distribution at EEAP.
Barefoot's next title, "1 1/2 KNIGHTS - IN SEARCH OF THE RAVISHING PRINCESS HERZELINDE", Eastern European rights for this medieval comedy have already been acquired by EEAP. It is currently being produced in Saxony, German with an all-star cast, and will be released next year.
EEAP has also secured Eastern European rights to several titles in Cannes; among them part five of the SAW franchise, BETTY ANN WATERS starring Hillary Swank and EXTRACT, a comedy with Jason Bateman.
